Not that it was considerably better on the B road either though, that was also one that you needed to watch carefully.
It might be anecdotal, but my view is that we’ve gone downhill very quickly in the UK, as far as road quality is concerned.
I’ve driven in numerous African countries in the past and it was always an eye opener to see the quality of some of the highways there.
However, the gap has now been closed considerably.
In fact, I’d say that our worst roads are way behind the best ones that I encountered on the continent.
