Two pairs of mallards on pool, no sign of nesting.
First orange-tip and red admiral butterflies in the valley this year.
Little egret again on the Moden Hill paddocks fields.

Male sparrowhawk in flight through woodland at the eastern ridge summit.
April 28
Juvenile muntjac on the lane (opposite bungalows) at 10.20 a.m. when I was driving in the car.
It went back through the hedge and into the woodland.
