This morning’s angling session, pottering around the garden, a visit to Sedgley and a reminder that home is where the heart is

This morning, after yesterday’s session on the canal, it was back to pool fishing.

I got off to a great start with a roach first cast.

As soon as I released it though, there was a crash in the margins at my feet.

Unfortunately for the roach, there was a pike there and sadly, that was the end of its existence.

Unfortunately for me as well, although not as dramatic as life or death, there was also a pike in the swim as well. At least one.
