This morning’s angling session, pottering around the garden, a visit to Sedgley and a reminder that home is where the heart is

I’m enjoying the current mild spell that we’re in and, although it’s still February, it most definitely has the feel of spring.

Getting up this morning, just as the transition from darkness to light was taking place, it wasn’t cold at all.

In no time at all, while the kettle was still boiling to make the flask, I had got dressed and had loaded the car with fishing tackle.

This is the first time I’ve ever had a drive and it’s brilliant. Everything is so simple and easy.

In my last home, it was parking on the street only and with no guarantee you could even find a spot outside, it was often a case of leaving the car in the next road, or beyond that even.
