The last comment on my guestbook was from an anonymous poster who shared something from Romans 11.
I liked how the person described the verse in question, which was pretty much saying that if you get the roots right then the branches will take care of themselves.
I liked it so much, that was my sermon for today.
Get the foundation of our life right and what comes after will take care of itself.
Of course, it’s a scriptural theme anyway so it wasn’t a revelation, just that it was also an opportunity to mention my blog as part of the illustration.
I didn’t realize you’d been blogging so long, Stewart. That’s amazing. I enjoy reading your posts even though I’m no fishermen. I like how you weave in the Lord and what you learn about Him within your fishing tales. I pray you continue for a good while to come.
Thanks, very much appreciated.
It’s definitely what they call a labour of love, without doubt.
My faith is very important to me and who I am, and especially here in the UK where Christianity is very much on the sidelines for most people, it’s an opportunity to try and portray faith in a positive light.
Every blessing.
A labor of love, indeed. I am glad you are able to share your faith in a way that is a blessing to many as well as meaningful to you. Keep up the good work, brother.
Thanks. You too!
