Killing two birds with one stone, fishing on the upper reaches of the River Severn

I fished with a no-name 4.5 feet rod and a Shimano DL 2500FA reel loaded with 4lb Maxima Chameleon.

The hook length of four inches was created by nipping a size 8 shot on the line below a 3mm bead.

The lead was 1/8 of an ounce and the hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 16.

I fished with a single maggot and fed maggots and brown crumb in six feet of water under the rod tip.
