Killing two birds with one stone, fishing on the upper reaches of the River Severn

I chose the swim carefully, so there was minimal casting involved.

Minnows, when they are feeding, will take the bait instantly.

The upper reaches of the Severn is full of them and to say they were hungry was putting it mildly.

In the couple of hours I was on the river, I had a bite every single cast and I caught hundreds of fish.
