Movie review: The Hound Of The Baskervilles from 2002, starring Richard E Grant, John Nettles and Liza Tarbuck
A BBC television production, with Richard Roxburgh and Ian Hart as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson respectively. The three names in the heading were the more familiar ones, as far as I was concerned. They played, in order of listing: Mr. Stapleton, Dr. Mortimer and Mrs. Barrymore.
The ending was very different to most movie adaptations of the 1902 Sir Arthur Conan Doyle book, but like the others, it followed the well-worn path that most people will be familiar with.
A thumbs-up from Debby and I, as we both enjoyed the film. We watched it on TPTV, which if you like old films, it is certainly recommended.
