⚽️ I got there in the end and so did The New Saints against Connah’s Quay Nomads
The journey to Flint was an interesting one in itself, and at one stage I didn’t even think I would make the game.
An accident on the A483, just outside Wrexham, meant that the traffic itself came to a standstill.
In fact, I turned off the engine settled back and waited.
Eventually though, the vehicles in front started to move, and fortunately, as I was close to an exit, I was able to turn off and continue my journey.
What a game it was as well. Originally scheduled for early in the season, the JD Cymru Premier MD3 encounter between Connah’s Quay Nomads and The New Saints, saw the home side take the lead in the 54th minute.
Two very late strikes from The New Saints – courtesy of Declan McManus and Ben Clark – secured a much-needed victory.
Up to second now, with games in hand, and the table looks very healthy indeed.
