🎥 Santa Claus: The Movie (1985)
David Huddleston is Santa Claus and Judy Cornwall (Daisy, in Keeping Up Appearances) is Mrs. Claus.
Dudley Moore plays Patch, the main elf.
The movie begins in the Middle Ages, where a man by the name of Claus delivers presents to the children every Christmas.
Returning home, he his wife and two reindeers, are caught up in a severe blizzard and succumb to the cold.
However, they wake up the next morning and find that they have been transported to the North Pole.
Greeted by numerous elves, they become Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
The plot then takes them to New York City, where they engage with two children in particular.
As is often the case, there’s a baddie involved, but as always, it comes good in the end.
