📺 Timeless: Season One (2016) starring Garcia Flynn, Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter and Rufus Carlin

Garcia Flynn (played by Goran ViÅ¡njić) is a security agent who goes rogue, captures a time travel machine and attempts to change history.

Lucy Preston (played by Abigail Spencer), Wyatt Logan (played by Matt Lanter) and Rufus Carlin (Malcolm Barrett) comprise the team who travel time to thwart Flynn’s plans.

Episode 1: Pilot

The first one sets the scene, as Flynn steals the time machine and the team is assembled to go, via a ‘lifeboat’ time machine, back to 1937.

The episode revolves around the Hindenberg and Flynn shows Lucy something she writes in the future and asks her about an organisation called Rittenhouse.

Once they return to the 21st century, Lucy realises that they have changed history because her sister does not exist.

Episode 2: The Assassination Of Abraham Lincoln

The team travels back to 1865 and, although they don’t stop the assassination of the president, they do prevent the murder of other top-ranking officials.

Back home, Lucy finds out that, as time has changed, her dad is not her biological father and she turns up to her own engagement party where she doesn’t know the man.

Episode 3: Atomic City

This time it’s Las Vegas 1962 for the team, as they chase Flynn once more.

They discover that Anthony wasn’t kidnapped by Flynn at all but he’s helping him.

Flynn gets a nuclear bomb, helped by President Kennedy’s mistress, who he blackmails.

Meanwhile, once home, Lucy takes time out from her fiancé. She’s finding her new life hard to cope with.

Episode 4: Party At Castle Varlar

The team travels back to 1944 Nazi Germany as they track Flynn and his nuclear bomb.

They meet Ian Fleming, who is a British spy working undercover as an SS officer.

He’s yet to write the James Bond books.

They are instrumental in handing over Werner von Braun to the allies.

When they arrive back in the present they discover that there’s a new Bond movie, released in 1964, based on their adventure and including them.

Rufus has been spying on the other two but feeling very uncomfortable about it. He has a mysterious visit from a Rittenhouse person who threatens him it’s either carrying on spying or his family is at threat.

Episode 5: The Alamo

When Flynn is located in 1836 Texas, the trio are despatched in the time machine,  where they join the Texans at the Alamo.

Flynn persuades the Mexicans to attack three days earlier than intended and then he kills William B Travis before he can write his famous ‘Victory or death’ letter.

Lucy completes the letter and it’s taken away before the Mexicans storm the fort.

Back home, her mom tells her who her father is and writes his name on a piece of paper.

Episode 6: The Watergate Tape

Back to 1972, for the scandal known as Watergate, and Flynn has already got his hands on the missing tape.

We find out that Flynn is actually trying to destroy Rittenhouse as they killed his wife and daughter.

Lucy and Wyatt discover that Rufus is spying on them – albeit reluctantly as his family is at risk if he doesn’t – for Rittenhouse and they aren’t happy.

Lucy turns up at her dad’s home then gets cold feet before revealing who she is but, as soon as she leaves, he is on the phone to someone saying ‘guess who just turned up here’.

Episode 7: Stranded

Finding themselves in 1754, as the French and Indian War begins, the lifeboat is damaged and they get captured by the French.

Managing to escape, they are then taken prisoner by a hostile tribe but, at the last possible moment before they are killed, they are released.

A desperate excursion into a French fort to gather materials to repair the lifeboat means they manage to go back to base, helped by a message hidden in the ground by Rufus for the team in the future.

The fact that they might never see each other again, Jiya and Rufus declare their love.

Episode 8: Space Race

It’s 1969 for the team, as they track Flynn to the moon landing.

He has impregnated the computer system with a virus and, as they land, the astronauts are cut off from earth.

Working behind the scenes via the access that they have to the heart of the control room, the team manages to wipe the virus and communication is restored.

It’s history as we know it back on at that point.

Episode 9: Last Ride Of Bonnie & Clyde

Transported to 1934 Arkansas, the team finds themselves caught up in a Bonnie & Clyde bank robbery.

Befriending the pair, as they seek to take Bonnie’s necklace which is a Rittenhouse secret key, they end up in their hideout.

However, Flynn is also pursuing the key, which he gets when the pair get killed in a shootout.

It ends with him using the key to access a hidden letter, which he reads but we are left without knowing the content.

Episode 10: The Capture Of Benedict Arnold

It’s back to the revolutionary war for the team, as once again their paths entwine with Flynn.

They meet George Washington, then defect to the British with Benedict Arnold.

They then encounter David Rittenhouse, the founder of the evil organisation that controls people.

Flynn kills him but his son, John, escapes so they don’t stifle Rittenhouse completely.

Lucy is snatched by Flynn and is taken away in his time travelling machine.
