🎣 On the radio, Dilwyn’s groom and a win some, lose some fishing trip

It was time for my Bedlington terrier’s groom, and sandwiched between taking and collecting him, I did my weekly Bayside Radio chats with Jeff Pearson.

I planned it that way, as well, it’s all about making the most of every opportunity.

While he was having his pamper, I also collected some gravel for a garden project.

Get organised and get more done.

The fishing later was on a lake in pursuit of tincas.

As you can see from the video, I won some and I lost others.

It’s the way it goes sometimes.

I fished with a grain of sweetcorn over brown crumb and corn about 25 metres from the bank.

It was a three-hour session and, as always, a very enjoyable one.

The rain was persistent at times but you can’t let that stop you from fishing, can you?

Tackle: Fox Barbel Special 1.5 test curve rod and an Okuma Zeon reel. 6lb Maxima Chameleon, with a six-inch hook-length created by a small shot and an 8mm bead. Above that was a 3/8 ounce lead. Size 10 Drennan Super Specialist hook.

Nature notes: Skylark singing over adjoining field on my arrival, although couldn’t see the bird due to weather conditions.
