🐾 Dilwyn, the Bedlington terrier, February 2024: Lost and found
After enjoying the sunrise in the east, I went for a long walk around the western ridge area of the valley, where we live.
Dilwyn, my Bedlington terrier, did a disappearing act in the woodland.
He was lost for about twenty minutes before I located him.
He had spotted a group of ramblers and decided to join them.
By the time I got him, he was in Baggeridge, happily trotting alongside them.
As for being found, as far as he was concerned, he didn’t even know he was lost.
Have you ever lost a dog? It’s a horrible feeling, isn’t it?
Well, usually, but on this occasion I had a peace that it would have an immediate happy ending, and it did.
