🎣 Angling | Early morning fishing on a lake, looking to beat the heatwave
With no end in sight, the heatwave continues. With cooler – relatively speaking – nights, the best option is to be out first thing in the morning.
That was my plan today, as I returned to the lake where I fished yesterday. In fact, I was in the same spot as well.
Once again, I was hoping to connect with a tench but, as per yesterday, they were noticeable by their absence.
I did, however, catch a brace of decent roach. When you can hold fish to the camera along with yourself in the frame, it’s always a good sign.
Once home, with the hot and humid conditions, I took it easy. Well, I am, after all at the age where the government tells me to take care of myself due to my advanced years.
Pity I’m not eligible for my pension at 65 to help me along the way, like it used to be. I can see it going even higher as well, over time. I doubt whether it will come back down. Home
