🎣 Angling | A barbel overnighter on the River Severn
It was a two-for-the-price-of-one session on the River Severn when, after fishing maggots and cage feeder, I switched to leads and hair-rigged baits. I had a frankfurter sausage on one rod and peperami on the other.
Unfortunately, no barbel – or anything else for that matter – put in an appearance. However, that’s the nature of the game at that level. The more focused you are, the more challenging it becomes.
Regardless of a blank though, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I do love night sessions and I just didn’t do enough during the first year of retirement. It was part of the plan though to get back on track this summer and that’s where I am now. Home.
