🎣 Angling | An all-perch cast on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal

After the temperature highs of yesterday afternoon, where it was pushing 20C, a few hours later it was at the opposite end of the spectrum, as I began the day scraping ice off the car windshield.

This morning’s angling session was on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal and, although I’m setting the alarm for 4.45 a.m, at the moment, I need to take it back another fifteen minutes.

That’s just for local venues as well. I don’t have issues stirring in the morning though at daft o’clock, especially when I’m going fishing, so time is never an issue.

Plus, now that I’m retired, I can have a nap in the day if I want and catch up that way. The joys of not being an employee. In the words of McDonald’s… I’m lovin’ it…

Back to the session though and, as the heading implies, I caught just perch. I say ‘just’ but that’s not negative, of course. They were my target so, all in all, a success.
