🎣 One day I’m casting with a 5oz lead, the next I’m flicking a 0.8g float
Variety is the spice of life, so they say, and the extremes contained with the heading certainly encapsulate that sentiment. After three days of fishing the Dee estuary on holiday, I was on a pond at home.
It’s one that has sadly been seriously affected by cormorants. That’s not, as any angler who has witnessed them at work will tell you, an excuse to blame a bad day. It’s a fact.
I was on the pond for a couple of hours and didn’t even get a slight tremble on the float or a sucked maggot. I’ll be giving this venue a miss for a while. That’s a fact.
