Starting the day with a canal angling session
With a Welsh Cup semi-final to look forward to later in the day, I was up first thing for an angling session on my local canal.
The Staffordshire/Worcestershire is very close to where I live, and especially with it being rural, from leaving home to fishing itself is about twenty minutes.
Well, that’s if I hit one of the local stretches, of course, as I quite literally have miles of water to fish.
It was a fairly quiet session, but I caught perch, as well as a pleasant surprise with my first dace of the year on the bank.
