The Rochdale by-election result
The new MP for Palestine Rochdale is George Galloway, and while it was a catastrophic result for Labour, he was positively purring.
His announcement that he’s going to field 60 candidates in the general election to derail his old party, means they must be having kittens in Southwark.
Meanwhile, with Labour relegated to fourth place, even the Conservatives finished above them.
Although the Muslim Labour candidate was suspended for anti-Semitic comments, he still attracted 7.7% share of the vote.
If you think things are bad for the Conservatives – and they are – Labour also has its fair share of problems.
As for George Galloway, he was lapping it up.
