First hedgehog of the year
It’s an early one, and it’s not even particularly mild as we had an overnight frost the day before, but on February 27, I saw my first hedgehog of 2024.
It was in the entry alongside our home and had made its way from the drive and was heading towards the back garden.
Dilwyn, my dog, actually discovered it when we let him out.
I captured brief footage then let it go on its way.
They’re fast and it was off very quickly in search of food.
I was absolutely thrilled to have seen it.
