Feeding a coot who is feeding a coot
While fishing I fed an adult coot and an adult moorhen in the reeds, who both had one chick each.
On my last session, I recorded the latter, so this time I captured the former.
I also saw a kingfisher calling in flight as it flew across the lake.
There were three swifts briefly over the water as well.
They’re definitely decreasing in numbers as we move on in August.
I have seen them in September before so, as always, I’ll keep a note of the latest sightings until they are no more.
