Even more difficult was throwing out maggots by hand.
Fishing just a rod length or so from the bank even that was a challenge, as they sprayed all over the place, but in between the gusts it was fine.
I caught roach, the biggest of which you can see in the video, as well as lots of small perch.
I fished with a Greys Prodigy 12’ float rod and a Shimano 3500M reel, spooled with 4lb Maxima Chameleon.
The float was a 0.8g waggler, with shot either side and a size 14 Drennan Super Specialist hook baited with one/two white maggots.
