July 1
A pair of ravens displaying over the wooded eastern slope of the valley.
July 2
Swifts c.20 over the eastern slope late evening.
July 5
Five female mallards and one moorhen on the main pool.
Male bullfinch in flight across the golf course.
July 15
Very windy but lots of wood pigeons in flight across the valley as well as several lesser black-backed gulls, a common buzzard and two swifts.
July 16
While walking the dog along the lane, I heard two muntjacs calling in woodland, so I went in.
Very vocal animals, saw one just briefly as it was very dense with trees.

A very profitable walk down the lane and back.
A goshawk soaring high over the bottom end (eastern slope) of the valley.
Peregrine falcon in flight across the Straits estate.
July 25
Three swallows in northerly flight along western slope.
Three swifts over bottom end of the valley.
Very vocal muntjac calling from woodland on eastern slope late morning.
