Fishing three rod lengths from the bank, I mixed brown crumb and sweetcorn before throwing a few balls out by hand.
Casting a legered single grain of corn on a size 10 hook over the baited area, I didn’t have long to wait before I was playing the first tench.
This was followed quickly by another two and a roach.
It was a short but very enjoyable session and I was back home for breakfast.
