Topping up the feeding station
The angling in question that I’ve referred to was a lake tench session.
While the kettle boiled at home, I topped up the feeding station in the garden.
I do it every day anyway but the last week or so we have had numerous juveniles visiting and the food has been disappearing even faster than usual.
On one occasion we had eleven goldfinches on there at the same time.
As I looked through the kitchen window on this occasion, the goldfinches were present again on the feeders, with four magpies and a stock dove on the ground.
Once I made my flask of tea, I put the gear in the car and set off for the venue in question.
