The vast majority – about 95% – of its length is just a couple of inches or so deep and also crystal clear.
It was the deeper, relatively speaking, bits that I fished, although I did scan my fish-spotting eyes across the entire length.
However, I didn’t even see a single fish of any description.
As well as watching, I also dropped the bait in because that will cause any hidden fish to put in an appearance.
