One thing I never do is wish my life away.

I’m too old to do that anyway.

I want to make the most of every day, not get it out the way because of something I want to do in the future.

With the river being low, I flicked a single maggot on a size 16 hook, using a 1/4 ounce lead as weight, so that the bait settled under an overhanging willow tree.

I use brown crumb for many different situations and again it was put to good use, with mixed maggots in there as well.
