More tinca chasing and a reminder that fish are often closer than we realise

The current run of early morning angling sessions continues, therefore with the days being much longer than the nights at the moment, it’s a nice early rise for yours truly.

What I’ve found over the years is that I often wake naturally at the right time anyway when I’m going fishing.

It’s not that I don’t sleep properly either, because I do.

I think it’s like being a shift worker, your body adapts to your lifestyle.

Currently fishing a lake, on arrival I mixed brown crumb and maggots, throwing them out by hand about three rod lengths from the bank.
