Although my current tench angling isn’t exactly in that category, nevertheless at 2-3 rod lengths out on a big water, it’s still close to the bank, relatively speaking, especially as there are shallower margins and then a drop-off.

I caught half a dozen tench in a couple of hours and you can follow the session in the video below.
