Tench fishing and if two out of three ain’t bad then four from five is even better
You can never have too much of a good thing and that most definitely applies to angling, which is why my pursuit of tench continues.
Plus, the weather is perfect as well as far as early morning starts are concerned.
Back on the lake that has been my focus of late, I went through the same procedure.
Before fishing, I baited the swim with brown crumb and maggots, flicked four white maggots into the mix and settled back with the day’s first cup of tea.

I caught a couple of small perch but, as far as tench were concerned, if two out of three ain’t bad then four from five is even better.
That was the ratio of hooked fish to ones in the net and on the bank.
