Tench fishing and some welcome rain — Interviewing Owen Davies at Park Hall — The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air 1993

It was nice to fish the River Severn, well in fact it was great. I loved it.

A change is as good as a rest and all that, but nevertheless it was nice, no great, to get back on track the following morning when I went tench fishing.

I’m really enjoying targeting the species and that’s pretty much how my angling goes. I do what I enjoy.

The tench is a traditional summer species anyway, so unlike roach and perch etc, they do have a limited life as far as angling attention is concerned.

Once we hit autumn and beyond, not only will they begin to become less prolific, but other fish will be in the equation competing for our time.

That’s then though and this is now.
