Amphibians in the garden

Even in the short time that we’ve been in our home, I’ve noticed a big increase in the amphibian population in the garden.

We’ve got a breeding colony of smooth newts and the common frogs are abundant.

It’s all intentional, as well, especially with the construction of the main pond.

We have at least two regular frogs in the water feature outside the patio doors.

Late evening, I noticed one of them making his way out to go off on a hunting trip after food.

If we all encouraged nature there would be no need for slug pellets.
