The Railway Children 1970

Starring Jenny Agutter, Bernard Cribbins and Dinah Sheridan, The Railway Children was released in 1970 and is set in 1905.

The Waterbury family from London find their world turned upside down when their father is arrested for being a spy.

Mother hides it from the children as they move to Yorkshire.

They take to their new home, close to a railway station and get involved in a number of adventures.

They find out about their father but then he’s shown to be innocent and is released.

It ends with him travelling to Yorkshire to be reunited with the family.

By train, of course.
