Wrasse fishing on the rocks at Trearddur Bay — Groundhopping at Amlwch Town’s Lôn Bach Ground

Groundhopping at Amlwch Town’s Lôn Bach

Once back to the place where we stayed, I had some food and drove in a clockwork direction around the island to Amlwch.

In particular it was Lôn Bach, the home of Amlwch Town.

The ladies were at home as they welcomed CPD Pwllheli Women in the North Wales Women’s Football League.

It was my first visit and my 71st Welsh ground.

When it comes to watching a game by choice, as opposed to a working one, then I’m definitely more interested in new places.

Groundhopping at Lôn Bach.

I had a lovely spot to watch the game, which if you’ve ever been to the ground was the bench in the corner nearest the entry point.

A beautiful day, I took Dilwyn, my Bedlington terrier, with me.

That’s his second game, having been to another holiday one last year when we watched a match at Trearddur Bay’s Lôn Isallt.

The encounter at Amlwch ended 4-3 to the visitors.
