Wrasse fishing on the rocks at Trearddur Bay — Groundhopping at Amlwch Town’s Lôn Bach Ground

A short walk from where we were staying and I was on the rocks and ready to cast out.

After my first session, where I set up from scratch, I kept everything intact and ready to go for each of the following trips.

Especially when you’re only there for a short time, as I was, it’s a very practical benefit.

Wrasse fishing at Trearddur Bay.

Fishing with a float on a calm sea, it was comfortable angling.

I had a good depth of water in front of me, certainly twenty feet as the rocks continued vertically beneath the waves, and I set the power gum knot so that the bait was just off the bottom.
