Wrasse fishing on the rocks at Trearddur Bay — Groundhopping at Amlwch Town’s Lôn Bach Ground

Wrasse fishing on the rocks at Trearddur Bay

With bait supply an issue at the local tackle shop, I was there at 8.00 a.m. to get my hands on some wriggly worms.

The bad news is there was only one pack of ragworm available, the good news is I walked out with it.

The early bird gets the worm. Indeed.

With high water half an hour before noon, I had plenty of time to do some fishing.

Actually, time wasn’t an issue anyway because although I intended to holiday-fish around tides if possible, I wasn’t going to let them dictate.
