Wedding anniversary memories
Thirty-six years ago today, Debby Whitehouse used her maiden name for the final time, when we tied the knot at Gads Lane Pentecostal Church in West Bromwich.
Then it was straight on to the reception at the church in Sedgley, where we were at the time.
Following that, we drove to Coniston in the Lake District for our honeymoon.
It all seems so long ago now but I can still remember, with great fondness, the day overall.
Memories are precious and certainly, as we get older, they become treasured thoughts.
I don’t know about the next thirty-six years – I would be 97 if I’m still this side of eternity – but what I can say is that in the meantime I’ll be enjoying every day and making the most of each one while I still have breath in my body.
