Letting go and moving on, playing football at 61, voting in the local elections and a late morning angling session

X marks the spot

The following morning, along with my wife, I voted.

Ever since I was first able to put an X on a piece of paper at the age of eighteen, I’ve done so at every election.

I’ve never been a floating voter either. You know the sort of thing, Conservative one election and Labour the next.

Although I have put my mark next to different parties, they’ve always been on the same wing.

If anything, my views have remained consistent.

It’s just the party that I basically support that’s changed, hence the voting for alternatives that reflect my own thoughts and political values.

I suspect there are many people who share these views, on both the right and the left.
