First light canal fishing with three species on the bank

I’ve got the alarm on my clock set at 4.30 a.m. and all I need to do is activate it, which is exactly what I did before I went to bed last night.

My last angling trip was on a small pool, this time it was back to the Staffordshire/Worcestershire Canal, where I’ve enjoyed success of late with bream and perch.

I was in a new spot on this occasion though, with the intention of doing a couple of hours angling with the fish, hopefully, in a feeding spell.

It was a slow session but I did catch three species (three images on the left), with the bigger bream coming on the last cast.

Follow the session via the video.
