A foggy afternoon angling session on the River Severn and thoughts on blanks

I don’t know how other anglers view blanks but to me they’re just an occupational hazard, so to speak,

Especially in the current weather spell that we’re in, fishing is naturally a challenge.

My local stillwaters are still frozen and, although I haven’t taken any water temperatures lately, it’s obvious that they’re going to be rock bottom.

I still enjoyed being out there at the water’s edge though and that was the theme of my angling conversation on Bayside Radio this week.

That’s why I still do a blog entry when I struggle, otherwise I’m giving the impression that I catch every time I go fishing.
