With the River Severn continuing to fall, it was time to make my first visit of the year.
So, after a birding walk on my local patch I loaded the car and set off for the river.
I decided to see how far this particular stretch was from home and it was 13.1 miles from the drive to the car park, which is just a few yards from the river itself.
Interestingly, the only A road that I use is a 100-metre section in Shropshire.
Rural miles definitely make for an easier journey when compared to urban travelling.
