A woman! A woman! Mrs. Pym Of Scotland Yard beats the men and the psychics to solve the crimes

Filmed in 1939 and released a year later, Mrs. Pym Of Scotland Yard is a British black and white movie filmed at Highbury Studios.

The studios came to an end in 1956 and sadly, with some of the stars being born in the nineteenth century, they’re no longer with us either.

It’s a crime movie but with a comedic slant.

Already working for the police, Mrs. Pym is appointed to handle murders that are connected to a psychic.

When she’s announced, the exclamation is ‘A woman! A woman!’

That’s the reaction she gets initially, including a few jokes.
