Cotwall End Valley nature diary – November 2022

November 10

Went the opposite way along the lane this morning, heading south.

Entered the woodland at the first point.

It’s always nice to get a highlight and today’s was a peregrine falcon.

It was high in the sky, in flight from the eastern ridge towards the opposite side.

It briefly arched its wings but that didn’t develop.

Birds seen: common buzzard, feral pigeon, great tit, magpie, goldfinch, wood pigeon, black-headed gull, kestrel, blue tit, carrion crow, blackbird (m, f), jackdaw, peregrine falcon, mistle thrush (2), goldcrest(2), long-tailed tit, chaffinch (m), redwing (3).

Others: grey squirrel.
