Cotwall End Valley nature diary – November 2022

November 4

A short walk along the lane and in the woodland, not always easy when I have my dog, especially in the former.

Saw a second butterfly, wasn’t able to identify as it was just a glimpse, but looked like another red admiral.

Common buzzard mobbed by a single carrion crow.

Birds seen: wood pigeon, robin, long-tailed tit, moorhen, common buzzard, dunnock, wren, jackdaw, magpie, black-headed gull, carrion crow, great spotted woodpecker.

Others: red admiral, grey squirrel.
