I’ve been to work for three days on the bounce and for two of them I’ve also been fishing afterwards as well.
Both sessions have been on the Severn, this time the upper though, as opposed to the middle on day one.
On the journey to Park Hall, I caught a glimpse of lapwings in a field near Shotatton on the A5.
There is a flock in the area every winter and I always look out for the first arrivals.
Not as common as they used to be, it was a familiar sight many years ago to see large groups of birds in flight, or on fields, from autumn onwards
