Prior to the game itself, my involvement in the JD Cymru Premier MD8 fixture was to write the match preview, write my column for the programme and do the press conference with Craig Harrison.

I did the first two at home on Sunday and then the latter at Park Hall on Monday after training.

Then, on Tuesday, it was time for the rubber to hit the road.
