Pursuing pond carp and a last cast result

I enjoyed my canal session yesterday evening but this morning it was back to small pool angling.

I woke naturally, just after seven o’clock, and even making a flask and loading the car, I was still on my way fifteen minutes later.

On one of the venues I’ve been fishing in recent weeks, as well as the roach, perch and rudd I’ve been catching, I’ve also noticed carp.

Not big fish, certainly not the sort of place where you’d set up a bivvie and spod for a hour.

In fact, it’s so small that you can throw bait underarm without even breaking into a sweat.
