I fished with a single grain of corn and on arrival put out some brown crumb and corn.
The bed of the pool was quite weedy and every time I reeled in I had to clear the hook and lead.
Much of it though was due to retrieve.
By casting out and letting it settle and tightening up very carefully, I knew that the bait hadn’t been masked in weed at that point.
