🎣 Fishing for perch on the Staffs/Worcs Canal and an encounter with a cyclist
After watching Scott Of The Antarctic yesterday evening, I was up early today for an adventure of my own. Although nowhere near the same league as the Terra Nova expedition from 1912, nevertheless everything is relative.
It was a slow session but, once it was properly light, I realised why. The water was clear and you could easily see the bottom of the canal.
I did catch though – as you can see in the video – and so I was pleased to be comfortably on the right side of the line.
Then, right at the end, a boat passed through and the change of water clarity meant that I ended the video in style.
In my last angling session, I mentioned a very pleasant conversation I had with a cyclist.
Well, today, he was out and about again and this time I recorded footage.
Some great memories there from Mike, which reinforces something I believe very much, that everyone has an interesting story to tell.
