🎣 Fishing the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal, as the conditions continue to improve
Yesterday – although I blanked – was the turning point as far as the conditions were concerned. In fact, it was 10C as I made my way to the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal for first light.
It does take time for the water to catch up with what’s happening this side of the surface though, so it was too early to cash in on the rise in temperature. A day later, however, and it was different.
It wasn’t a comfortable place to fish but that’s not the most important factor as far as I’m concerned. I stayed for 2.5 hours and although it wasn’t frantic – all the action came early on – at least I caught this time.
